The basics
What services does Spin It Laundromat offer?
Spin It offers self-service laundry, wash and fold drop-off, pickup and delivery, and comforter cleaning. Our Speed Queen washers run from 20 lb to 100 lb. We also do recurring laundry for local businesses, teams and rentals. Wash it yourself at 824 Main St, or schedule a pickup online and we'll bring it back folded.
What are your hours?
We're open 7 AM to 9 PM every day. Last wash at 7:45 PM. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and July 4. If you're planning a big load late in the day, start early enough to wash, dry and fold before closing. Call (401) 615-7748 if you want to check anything before you head over.
Do you offer laundry pickup and delivery?
Yes, we pick up your laundry, wash, dry and fold it at our West Warwick store, and bring it back to your door. Pickup and delivery costs $1.99/lb, with a $35 minimum. Schedule a pickup online and choose a weekday, or call (401) 615-7748 and we'll book it for you.
Can I wash a king size comforter at Spin It?
Yes. Our biggest washers take 100 lb, so a king comforter fits in one load with room to move. You can wash it yourself, or drop it off at the counter and we'll wash and dry it for you, priced by item. With a pickup it's $19.99, any size.
Do I need an appointment to use the washers?
No, just walk in while we're open and use any machine that's available. We're open 7 AM to 9 PM every day. The only service you book ahead is pickup and delivery, which you can schedule online. For wash and fold, bring your laundry to the counter and we'll weigh it there.
Self-service washers and dryers
What size washers do you have?
We have 32 Speed Queen washers in 20, 30, 40, 60 and 100 lb sizes, and dryers in 30, 45 and 75 lb sizes. A 20 lb washer suits a small weekly load, and a 100 lb machine takes a king comforter or a big dog bed. Every washer runs a 23-minute cycle.
Which washer size should I use for my load?
Use the smallest washer your load fits in loosely, with room for the clothes to tumble. As a rule of thumb, a 20 lb washer suits one person's weekly clothes. Mid-size machines handle family loads and towels. Save the 100 lb washers for comforters and bulky bedding. Ask the team at the counter if you're unsure.
How do I pay for the washers and dryers?
Every washer and dryer takes coins and the Speed Queen app. The machines don't take cards, but you can pay cash or card at the register and we'll start any machine for you. The change machine takes bills, and two kiosks load cash onto the Speed Queen app.
Do I need to bring my own detergent?
It's a good idea to bring your own detergent, especially if you have a brand you like. There are vending machines in the store, and the team at the counter can tell you what's in them that day. Bring dryer sheets too if you use them.
Is there room to fold my clothes at the laundromat?
Yes, there are roomy folding tables and a long folding counter with bar stools. You can fold straight out of the dryer, so your clothes go home neat and ready to put away. Big items like sheets and comforters are easier to fold on the tables than on a bed at home.
Wash and fold
How much does wash and fold cost?
Wash and fold costs $1.29/lb. Seniors and veterans pay $1.19/lb. You pay by the weight of your dry laundry, and we weigh it at the counter when you drop it off. The price covers washing, drying and folding.
Comforters are priced separately: by item at the counter, or $19.99 each with a pickup.
How do you weigh my laundry?
We weigh your laundry on the scale at the counter before we start. The weight sets the price, so you know what you'll pay up front. Bring it dry, in any bag or basket, with the pockets empty and anything delicate set aside.
When will my wash and fold order be ready?
Ask at the counter when you drop off; we'll tell you when it's ready. If you need it back by a certain time, mention it when you hand it over and we'll let you know what we can do. You can also call (401) 615-7748 to check on your order.
What should I bring my laundry in for drop-off?
Any bag or basket works, whether it's a laundry bag, a kitchen trash bag or a hamper. Just bring your laundry dry and empty the pockets first. If something needs special care, keep it in a separate bag and tell the team at the counter when you drop it off.
Can I give special instructions for my laundry?
Yes, tell the team at the counter how you like your laundry done when you drop it off. That can be a detergent preference, items you want washed apart, or anything that should not go in the dryer. We'll tell you right away what we can do for that order.
Pickup and delivery
How much does laundry pickup and delivery cost?
Pickup and delivery costs $1.99/lb, based on the weight of your laundry. The minimum pickup order is $35. Delivery is free. We weigh it at our West Warwick store before washing, then wash, dry and fold it and bring it back. Comforters ride along for $19.99 each, any size.
Which towns do you pick up laundry from?
We pick up in West Warwick, Warwick, Apponaug, Coventry, Cranston, East Greenwich, Hope, Scituate, Foster and North Kingstown. Each town has its own page with pickup details for that area. If your street is near the edge of our area, call (401) 615-7748 and we'll tell you if we can reach you.
How do I schedule a laundry pickup?
Schedule a pickup online in a few steps: choose your service, enter your address, pick a weekday and add any preferences. You can also call (401) 615-7748 and we'll book it for you. Have your laundry bagged and ready on pickup day, and we take it from there.
How should I bag my laundry for pickup?
Any garbage bag or laundry bag works; a full bag usually weighs about 15 lb. Close each bag and empty the pockets first. Put anything that needs special care in its own bag and add a note when you book. Keep comforters in a separate bag so we can price them on their own.
Is there a minimum order or a delivery fee?
The minimum pickup order is $35. Delivery is free. Pickup and delivery is priced by weight at $1.99/lb, and the order form shows your estimate before you confirm. We weigh every order at the store, so you only pay for what you send. Call (401) 615-7748 with any question about minimums or fees before you book.
Comforters
How much do you charge to wash a comforter?
We wash and dry comforters from twin to king. Add one to a pickup when you schedule online and it costs $19.99, whatever the size. You can also drop it off at the counter at 824 Main St, where comforters are priced by item. Or wash it yourself in one of our 100 lb washers.
Can I add a comforter to a pickup?
Yes. Add it when you schedule a pickup online and it costs $19.99, whatever the size, from twin to king. We wash and dry it in our big Speed Queen machines at 824 Main St and bring it back with the rest of your laundry. Comforters dropped off at the counter are priced by item instead.
Why shouldn't I wash a comforter in my home washer?
Most home washers are too small for a thick comforter. When it's packed in tight, water and soap can't move through the filling, so it rinses poorly and can come out lumpy. Our 100 lb washers give a king comforter room to tumble, and big dryers help it dry all the way through.
Can I wash sleeping bags, duvets or dog beds here?
Yes, our large self-service washers handle sleeping bags, duvets, mattress pads and dog beds. Check the care label first, then pick a washer that gives the item room to move. Our biggest machines take 100 lb. Dry bulky items in a big dryer and check them before you leave, since thick filling dries slowly.
Is it better to drop off my comforter or wash it myself?
Drop it off if you want it done for you; comforters at the counter are priced by item, so ask the team for the price. Wash it yourself if you prefer to stay and handle it, using one of our big washers. Drop-off saves your time, and self-service lets you watch every step.
Business laundry
Who is your commercial laundry service for?
Our commercial laundry is for local businesses, teams, rentals and organizations that need laundry done on a regular basis. Think short-term rental linens, gym towels, salon capes, kitchen aprons or team uniforms. We wash, dry and fold at our West Warwick store, and you get a quote that fits your volume.
How do you price commercial laundry?
Commercial laundry is priced by quote, based on what you send us. We look at the type of items, how much you have and how often you need it done. Tell us about your business and we'll send you a clear price before you commit to anything.
Can my business set up a regular laundry schedule?
Yes. We offer daily pickups and deliveries, Monday–Friday, and Saturday and Sunday pickups by request for daily-service accounts. Ask for a quote with the form or call us, and tell us how often you need laundry done and roughly how much you have. We confirm your business rate before the first pickup.
Do you pick up laundry from businesses?
Yes. Business pickup and delivery runs Monday to Friday, with a $35 minimum order. Ask about pickup when you request a quote and tell us where your business is. We pick up in West Warwick and nearby towns. You can also drop off at the counter at 824 Main St if that's easier for you.
How do I get a quote for commercial laundry?
Send the contact form and choose laundry for your business, or call (401) 615-7748. Tell us what kind of business you run, what items you need washed, roughly how many pounds and how often. We'll get back to you with a price and the next steps to get started.
Prices
What are your laundry prices?
Wash and fold drop-off costs $1.29/lb. Pickup and delivery costs $1.99/lb, with a $35 minimum. Comforters cost $19.99 with a pickup; at the counter they're priced by item. Self-service washers cost $5.50 to $16.50 a wash, by size. Commercial laundry is priced by quote.
How does paying by the pound work?
You pay for the weight of your dry laundry. We put it on the scale, multiply the weight by the price per pound, and that's your total. Wash and fold drop-off is $1.29/lb and pickup and delivery is $1.99/lb. Heavy items like towels and jeans weigh more than shirts.
Does a king comforter cost more than a twin?
With a pickup, no: every comforter costs $19.99, from twin to king. At the counter, comforters are priced by item, so ask the team for the price when you drop yours off. If you're booking a pickup anyway, adding the comforter to that order keeps the price simple.
How much do the self-service washers and dryers cost?
Self-service prices are set by machine size, from the 20 lb washers up to the 100 lb ones. The size table on our pricing and self-service pages shows each price and cycle time. One large washer for a big load can be simpler than several small machines, and the team at the counter can help you pick.

While you wait
Is there a place for kids at the laundromat?
Yes, there's a kids area with a chalkboard and toys, so children have something to do while your loads run. Please stay with your kids, since washers and dryers are running all around them. A favorite book or snack helps too when a big load takes a while.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is free for customers. You can stream a show, answer emails or get some work done while your washers and dryers run. Ask the team at the counter how to connect when you come in. It's handy during long loads, like a comforter that needs extra dryer time.
