Comforter cleaning in West Warwick, twin to king

Add it to your next pickup for $19.99, any size, or bring it to the counter on Main Street.

Comforters at Spin It

Comforter cleaning at Spin It costs $19.99 with a laundry pickup, twin or king. At the counter on Main Street, comforters are priced by item: ask the team when you drop yours off. We wash and dry it in our big Speed Queen machines at 824 Main St in West Warwick, and you take it home ready for the bed.

A queen or king comforter often fills a home washer right up to the door. Packed in that tight, it barely moves, the soap has a hard time rinsing out, and the middle can stay damp after drying. Our washers go up to 100 lb, so a big comforter has room to move.

It's handy when the seasons change, when the dog has claimed the bed, after a stomach bug goes through the house, or when rental guests check out.

How it works, step by step

  1. Bring it in or book a pickup

Drop your comforter at the counter, or add it to a pickup when you schedule online.

  2. We wash it in a big machine

Your comforter goes in a washer with room to spare, so water and soap reach every part of it.

  3. We dry it through

It dries in a large dryer with space to tumble, so the filling dries evenly.

  4. Take it home

Pick it up at the counter, or get it back with your pickup order, folded and ready for the bed.

How much does it cost to wash a comforter?

Add your comforters to a laundry pickup and each one costs $19.99, any size from twin to king, and they come back with the rest of your laundry. At the counter on Main Street comforters are priced by item, so ask the team when you drop yours off. You can also wash it yourself in one of our big washers, from $16.50 a wash for the 100 lb machine.

Can I wash a comforter myself here?

Yes. Our self-service washers go up to 100 lb and our dryers go up to 75 lb, so a king comforter fits in one load. A few tips help it come out right:

  • Pick a washer with room to spare. The comforter should move freely once the drum fills.
  • Use a little less detergent than usual. Extra soap is hard to rinse out of thick filling.
  • Dry it in one of the big dryers, and check the middle before you leave. If it feels damp, give it more time.

What else can I bring besides comforters?

Duvets, quilts, blankets, mattress pads, sleeping bags and pet beds all fit our big washers. Ask at the counter about the price for anything that's not a comforter. Sheets and pillowcases can go in with wash and fold, which is priced by the pound at $1.29/lb.

Which comforters shouldn't go in a washer?

Check the care tag first. If it says dry clean only, a washer isn't the right choice. Many down and feather comforters can be machine washed, but follow what the tag says. If a comforter has a tear, mend it first, or the filling can come out in the wash. If you're unsure, show it to the team at the counter before you leave it.

How often should I wash a comforter?

Most people wash a comforter a few times a year, often when the seasons change. A duvet cover keeps it clean longer: wash the cover with your regular laundry and the comforter less often. Wash it sooner after an illness, a pet accident or a spilled drink.

Should I wash it myself or leave it with you?

If you have an hour or two, a big self-service washer and dryer work well. If you'd rather not wait for a thick comforter to dry, leave it at the counter and pick it up later; the team will tell you the price when you drop it off.

When will my comforter be ready?

A thick comforter takes longer to dry than a regular load, so ask the team for a ready time when you drop yours off. If you added it to a pickup, it comes back with that order.

Where can I drop off a comforter?

Bring it to 824 Main St, West Warwick, RI 02893, at the corner of Main Street and Phenix Avenue. There's off-street parking right at the door, which helps when you're carrying a king comforter. We're open 7 AM to 9 PM every day.

If you would rather not carry it at all, laundry pickup and delivery serves West Warwick, Warwick, Apponaug, Coventry, Cranston, East Greenwich, Hope, Scituate, Foster and North Kingstown. Rental hosts who wash bedding often can also ask about our commercial laundry service.

Questions people ask

How much do you charge to wash a comforter?

We wash and dry comforters from twin to king. Add one to a pickup when you schedule online and it costs $19.99, whatever the size. You can also drop it off at the counter at 824 Main St, where comforters are priced by item. Or wash it yourself in one of our 100 lb washers.

Can I add a comforter to a pickup?

Yes. Add it when you schedule a pickup online and it costs $19.99, whatever the size, from twin to king. We wash and dry it in our big Speed Queen machines at 824 Main St and bring it back with the rest of your laundry. Comforters dropped off at the counter are priced by item instead.

Why shouldn't I wash a comforter in my home washer?

Most home washers are too small for a thick comforter. When it's packed in tight, water and soap can't move through the filling, so it rinses poorly and can come out lumpy. Our 100 lb washers give a king comforter room to tumble, and big dryers help it dry all the way through.

Can I wash sleeping bags, duvets or dog beds here?

Yes, our large self-service washers handle sleeping bags, duvets, mattress pads and dog beds. Check the care label first, then pick a washer that gives the item room to move. Our biggest machines take 100 lb. Dry bulky items in a big dryer and check them before you leave, since thick filling dries slowly.

Is it better to drop off my comforter or wash it myself?

Drop it off if you want it done for you; comforters at the counter are priced by item, so ask the team for the price. Wash it yourself if you prefer to stay and handle it, using one of our big washers. Drop-off saves your time, and self-service lets you watch every step.
